Working with Luiza was a great learning curve for my husband and I. We found the information relevant, current and important. She focused on topics that we were concerned about and wanted to work on with our dog. Her schedule for appointments is very flexible which worked out great for us in our lifestyle. She really made a bond and connection with our dog. She explained that it was up to the owners to take ownership and responsibility. We learned lots of little tips that we have taught our friends and family. We are very thankful for all her help and patients.

We were students (along with our two Basset Hounds) with the Small K-9 School this fall. Our Basic Obedience Course was successful on several levels. First, even though hounds are notoriously difficult to train, Luiza helped us learn techniques that greatly improved their obedience. Second, she was provided us with helpful information concerning their health and well-being. Third, she was able to give us the tools to improve the dynamic of our relationship with the dogs as well as their relationship with each other.
We are pleased to recommend Luiza’s classes to anyone who cares about dogs.

Good Morning Luiza,

Bella is doing really good. I am so impressed at what she has learned. One of the things I noticed right away when we got home and I picked her up was that she doesn’t lick anymore. That is so nice because I never really liked that but didn’t know how to stop her from doing it. Thank you for doing that. Also she did not want up on the couch when we were sitting there. She is quite happy to lie on the floor. I have not had anyone come to the door to see if she gets excited for that or not. I have told my grandchildren to just ignore her when they first get to our place until she settles down. They were a little bummed out about that as they like to see her excited to see them. I took her for a very long walk a couple of times yesterday and was very impressed how well she walked beside me. I have to say it was the most enjoyable walk I have had with her. I also noticed she is really good when we meet another dog on the street. She use to try and go after them but not anymore. There have been many things I have been happy with that have changed for the better. She just seems like a much calmer dog.

I can’t thank you enough for taking Bella and helping her and me. I really think she misses being at your house. She did not eat for a full day after we got her home.

To whom it may concern,

My dog Lilly and I took Luiza's dog training class at the beginning of 2008. Graduation was on February first. During the course I found Luiza to be honest, caring of our pets and competent. She did not try to impose her views on you but only offered them up as suggestions. If she was asked a question, she would return the following class with the answers which she had researched. At times I felt that Luiza was a little unsure of herself but she just did not like to impose her point of view on those of us taking the class. She allowed for each dog handler's personality in the way the dogs were trained.

I have taken other classes from other trainers and I found Luiza to be as good as or better than theses trainers. She was willing to listen to concerns and tried to respond as best she could. She also often worked with your dog herself to show you what it should look like.

My only criticism of her as a trainer was that she brought in an aggressive dog to teach it to behave around other dogs. Sice my dog is a Shipoo, I felt threatened by this animal. I worried about my dog's safety. It turned out to be a needless worry.

All in all, I would recommend her class to anyone.

To Whom It May Concern,

Chloe (my puppy) and I had a very good and profitable time when we went to Luiza Small for puppy training lessons. She exposed Chloe to other animals and children in a relaxing environment. She had a gentle way to teach my dog how to do several commands. We all had a fun time!
