What I Do And How I Do It!


Do you have a dog/puppy you no longer want or can keep? Or are you looking to adopt a dog/puppy that is in need of a new home?
Please contact me. I am a local dog trainer in the Kincardine area.
I take in (if I have room at the time), train and re-home dogs/puppies OR I will try my very best to pair you up with a great dog from your local area-I only work locally!!!

My goal is to keep dogs in their current homes, so I first try to work with the owner to see if we can fix the problem or the unwanted behaviour (which is usually breed related) and if that does not make things better in a week or so then we discuss re homing. 

I work WITH the current owner as much as I can (so some of the decisions the current owner makes are out of my hands unless they surrender the dog to ME) to place the dog into its NEW home ASAP. To eliminate the stress of being fostered between homes (situation permitting)!!!

Many people pick a wrong type of dog breed for their life style and are not able to provide for that dog, even with the best of intentions. It is much better for the dog involved if you ask for help rather than the dog ending up homeless, in a pound or a shelter.


I was not charging for my services,  I was relying on donations from the people adopting these dogs but the promised donations are not being made, and I cannot afford to put money into dogs and get nothing in return, the adoption  fee is now $100 plus any vet care (arrangements are made based on individual circumstances and cases!) This is to cover my time and any medical expenses the dog had done while in my care.
If I just make the connection between the current and new owner, I do not charge at all, but do appreciate a generous donation that I can put towards the next dog or dogs in my care.


I also ask that, people surrendering their dogs provide me with neuter/spay certificate from their vet. If the dog is not fixed I would like a donation of $100 per dog to cover those expenses (thank you to all that did) .

If the future and current owners are willing to split the cost of the dog getting fixed I  will make sure it is done before the dog goes to its FOREVER home or the new owner needs to pre-book and pre-pay for the spay/neuter appointment prior to me releasing the dog.

I also need the surrender form filled out and e-mailed to me, with more information about the dog and nice pictures I can use on this site.


If you are interested in adopting…I will need a adoption application filled out, contract of adoption signed and a vet’s name and number that you are planning on using.

If you are not willing to do that please do not contact me!-if you are not willing to talk to me on the phone but strictly through e-mail –don’t contact me either!!!!
 
I do have a waiting list of people that are interested in adopting a dog/puppy. Please contact me to be put on a waiting list.

There are far too many wrong pet/owner combinations out there that I am trying to avoid and for me to do that I need everyone’s cooperation.
So far EVERYONE has been very cooperative!!!!

I am also looking for local people to help me with this train and re-home project. So if you can help or have something to donate towards this please let me know-kennels, food, or money-you can also put $$$ on the existing vet account to help with the medical expenses at the Ripley or Mildmay vet clinics under “Small K-9 School”.

My adoption fee is $100 + any vet care.
So if the dog comes to me with all shots and
fixed then the adoption fee is $100.
 If I have to fix the dog, have the dog vaccinated,
or have the dog assessed by the vet
that will add to the adoption fee.
If the dog is in the current home and
DOES NOT come to my home or the foster care,
  there is no fee but I would appreciate a generous donation!!!

Please understand I work mostly with families that DO have children, and I am NOT able to take and re-home aggressive dogs at this time, and I am not able to take them in myself due to not having a safe place to keep them. Especially dogs that have bitten before,as I also have 4 young children.

Please note!!! Because I try to work with the current owner and don't always get a chance to see the dogs, I have to mostly rely on the owners word regarding the temperament of the dog and other information. Due to this anyone adopting a dog through me needs to sign my adoption agreement.
